Our Story
Naomi Ching and Megan Wu founded Youth Network Society in the height of the COVID-19 outbreak as a pandemic relief project tutoring youths from school closures. As the COVID-19 outbreak gradually departs and once they have started to head into their senior years of high school, it was clear that the increasing stress became apparent: they have both felt the responsibility they have now to give back to our communities and to be role models for the future generations.
“We noticed that we would take hours looking for volunteer opportunities and events that align with our passions as well as suitable and credible tools/ advice. Therefore, we wanted to create a platform — a “one-stop-shop” — where all individuals can access valuable information in order to thrive. Our biggest goal is to help passionate youths “bridge the gap” and collaborate in a team setting to work on different projects such as monthly volunteer events. Lastly, since YNS is so diverse, we are super eager to share things we are passionate about: healthy eating, recipes, study methods, study music and more.”
